Overlooking Krung Thonburi Bridge and Chao Phraya River, this is the signature restaurant of The Siam. The restaurant boasts an imposing array of collectables and antiques belonging to singer and actor, Noi Pru. Intriguing curious such as a vintage dressing table and a reclining statue of Buddha can be seen here.
Chon Thai also has a cooking classroom along with a private bar that carries a mystifying air much like a secret society. Anyone can sign up for the cooking classes if they are planning to master Thai cooking. The private room can easily fit in about ten people.
The restaurant’s architecture and design is simply marvellous. It creates quite a drama in itself when one climbs up the stairs of an age-old styled Thai house to visit the restaurant.

List of popular dishes include gaeng hunglay moo, khao soi, tender grilled chicken, kurobota pork ribs, woon kularb, poo nim todd, see klong moo, gaeng som pla, phad pak boong, kai neiw mamoang, etc. The herbal tea (comprising of hibiscus, chamomile, rosehip and peppermint) of this place needs to be tasted at least once.
The customers mainly comprises the hotel guests, with reservations needs to be made in advance for outside guests. The service here is quite attentive and friendly, with the food coming in at reasonable quantity as well.
