This is the type of place where you can easily walk into and feel familiar and warm immediately. It is the reminiscent of one’s favourite neighbourhood bar, with only one big difference- authentic Thai cuisine replacing the pub grub.
Opened back in the summer of 2012, Oasis is the brainchild of Robert Jackson who, along with his wife, has done everything to make sure that the restaurant is visited by a large number of loyal customers every month. The list of customers mainly comprises of Thais, tourists and expats, with small venue giving them a welcome break from Patong’s hedonistic atmosphere.
Oasis features a fully stocked bar and few tables, allowing the restaurant in truly living up to its name. Guests can also enjoy watching sports in LCD TVs, in addition to having some fun in the pool tables as well. The team here is unassuming honest, local and clean and to provide good food, they will do everything under their disposal to make things right. Their success lies in the personalized service and the large authentic Thai menu that includes almost two dozen vegetarian offerings. Also playing a big role are the customized meals that add charm and appeal to the place.
List of popular food include Orange Curry with Chicken, Fried Squid with Garlic and Pepper, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Pork with Lemon Grass, and Spicy Beef Salad. Lychee Vodka Martini is a crowd favourite as is Boys Town Blue Balls. Both food and cocktails are priced quite reasonably here.
